Crysis 3 Will Be the King of Graphics

In this interview done by VentureBeat, Crytek's chief explains to us why Crysis 3 looks better than anything on the market right now, and will continue to be king for the next two years. That's bold, very bold. Hopefully, Crysis 3 will expand upon this into the land of consoles, aka the 360 and PS3. It will be interesting to see if, technically speaking, Crysis 3 beats Halo 4's graphics. To me, Halo 4 has some of the best console graphics. So, it'll be interesting to see if Crytek pushes beyond what 343 have achieved. That would be something.

About the Multiplayer

What intrigues me most about Crysis 3, aside from its technical achievements on the consoles, is the multiplayer. I'm interested to see what kind of product we'll get. Most importantly, I wonder how this will stand up to the FPS shooter market, in terms of the Xbox 360 and PS3.

February is an interesting time to release a new shooter, and Crysis 3 has a slim chance of becoming relevant if they can hook the crowd with the graphics first, and the gameplay second.

Downloading Crysis 2 Now

Getting ready for Crysis 3's release (already have my copy preordered) by downloading Crysis 2. Never got around to playing it. I'll be posting gameplay videos of Crysis 2 shortly. You'll find a lot of that here up until the release of Crysis 3. Once I get my copy of Crysis 3 for the Xbox 360, I'll start posting 1080p gameplay videos of it, rather than number 2.
